定向脚轮不转向——推车走直线。在经典的"两万向 + 两定向"配置中，万向轮负责转向，定向轮提供稳定性与循迹性。
由于定向支架没有滚道，同尺寸下它的承载更高、所需推力更小：重型推车常采用一对万向轮加一对定向轮。
实用原则：推车行程中直线占比越高，定向脚轮的回报越大。长通道直线行驶、拖挂列车和轨道导向车是天然适用场景；需要频繁转弯的紧凑作业则离不开万向轮。
