Konsekuensinya adalah lantai dan kebisingan: baja tidak memberikan bantalan apa pun, sehingga roda ini milik lantai yang sudah berbaja, beton yang rusak berat, atau rel — bukan lantai jadi. Bila penyebaran beban masih penting, desain baja tempa roda ganda mengurangi beban titik.
